How do I move the registration point of a symbol?

I have created a symbol that, when edited, shows up in the position it was relative to the art board.

I'd like to edit it in the middle of the art board, but the registration point stays where it is...

How can I move it with the symbol, or, at least, independently of the symbol? (Rather than moving the symbol in relation to the registration point)
