My first thought was that 20 fields and 1000 items is too little. But BC wouldn't have imposed these limits if 95% of sites aren't within these limits. I'm sure Cristinel obtained some figures before writing this. And through the API you have the ability to control the number of items and delete the disabled and expired ones to keep the numbers down. Plus if you need to use more than 20 fields for a web app on BC and more than 1000 items you probably shouldn't be using BC. You'll need something that will allow you to make custom queries, make functional customer zones, use ajax and implement REST. I've seen too many sites in the past 8 years abusing BC and using it for large site when it's really a solution for small sized businesses.
So, my feedback is that this is great and I can't wait for it to come out.
