I have CS5 and I can't get the Startup Scripts in Bridge. I check all and then view folder and it is empty. What do I need to do?

I am running Windows 7 and have student license for Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium.  I have uninstalled and then re-installed the entire suite with no change.  One of the updates for Bridge did not install: ( Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 Update- There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.) I have tried a dozen times with no luck.
