Icc profiles not showing up in Print dialogue box

Finding useful info re missing icc profiles in dialogue boxes is very hard. But I did find one useful piece of advice, which is to

quit the programme you are trying to print from ( in my case PhotoShop CC 2015  - I am running iMac 27" retina with El Capitan printing to Epson Stylus Photo R2400). Go to the folder HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles  take out the offending (no show profiles) and place them on your desktop then one at a time put them back but after each one check the result by - in my case, launch PhotoShop and open an image and hit the print button try looking for your miscreant profile in the Printer Profile dialogue button. If it works carry on with the process until all your fav profiles are back where they should be and behaving in the print dialogue box as they should.  This worked for me!! -  after days of searching for answers and much trial and error.  For some reason, although the profiles were there in the profiles folder they were not being recognised and just needed to be reinstalled.
